Dang, that’s a pretty fabulous thing to be charged with! It reminds me of a lyric from an African battle song (part of the World Music class I took with Sam & Dave back in college): “We must dress gorgeously for battle!”. I don’t know if I’m supposed to prepare for battle necessarily, but I do believe in the strength and confidence fantastic garb can provide. I used to have a headband of power (it was adorned with silver sequins) but I don’t know where that ended up. . .

I was having a tough day yesterday, probably due to lack of good sleep. It amazes me how I can get a full 8 hours and still wake up feeling like I barely made 1 hour. Thank You Tylenol PM for making THIS morning a lot more pleasant.

Let’s see, tomato plants are doing splendidly . . . there’s a big bellydance workhop on Saturday that will likely kick my butt . . . and Andy’s parents are coming to visit on Friday! Oh yeah, and the birthday tomorrow. . . I feel like there are just all these dates spinning around in my head and I’m not sure what day I’m living in. But it’s cool. I’m dealing!
