Crane-o-saurus
Ack! There is a giant mechanical crane outside my office window that keeps swooping by, lifting large items onto the roof of the building. In a fun way, I feel like the treetop scene in “Jurassic Park” with brachiosaurus necks swooping around me. But in the too-much-imagination way, it seems dangerously close to my window. . .
I don’t know if it’s allergies again or what, but I’m having real trouble sleeping and waking up in the morning. I’m drop-dead exhausted by midnight each night, pass out in bed, and struggle blindly to wake up each morning. I feel like I might be flailing around a lot during the night, but I’m not sure. Sleep is very key to my sanity, so I’m hoping to figure out a solution, and hopefully one that doesn’t involve Tylenol PM. WTF?
On the bright side of things, our patio tomato plants have lil’ green tomatoes growing!!! On the downside, there seems to be one lost yellowjacket that keeps hovering right in between them. It seems mysterious, because it seemed to hover there even before there were plants. No sign of a nest or anything. . . it just keeps returning again and again. Hmmm.
Dance is kickin’ my butt again, but it’s so much fun. In studio class I’ve been placed in between some of the new students again to help them out and “share my energy” which I really enjoy. Dance is fun and I hope they students I’m working with don’t get discouraged. The tricky thing for me right now is that I took level 2A last fall and then dropped back to level 1B this spring—to get my basics more solid, which was my own choice—and during class the teacher will call out for “Level 2” to do certain additional moves, many of which I know. Since I feel like level 1.75, I try to do what I can, but of course worry the teacher will think I’m either overly ambitious level 1 or partially prepared level 2. But I don’t worry too much. Just a little :)
