Ahhh, it really is my favorite time of year. My new Aunt, Jeanne Marie sent me a little care package of Halloween magazines and orange-and-black striped socks. She sends about a bajillion cards a year (I got two for my birthday from her) and I continue to wonder how she does it. I’m lucky if I even send a card, let alone on time. I think it brings her lots of joy, so I shouldn’t worry she’s overextending herself.

Let’s see. . . things are going really well for Andy right now, and thankfully as competitive as I am with everyone I find happiness in his success even if things aren’t rolling along for me.

The last of the baby crop of 2008 was born yesterday (at one point we had 3 people pregnant in on our floor at work) and so ends one season and the beginning of another!

October is going to be a crazy month, and September is rolling along. I feel like I’m going to blink and it will be this time next year already, and I have SO much work to do between now and then. I’m trying not to freak out about it, and just be excited.

On the bright side, while all this science and school stuff is gearing up, so are all the belly dance activities! I just started a new year at level 2, and I can tell I’ve learned a lot. I can actually play my zills (albeit not the full pattern) and move at the same time. Pat your head and rub your stomach, you dig? And I feel like my moves have gotten a lot more “anchored” if that makes any sense.

I’m excited for a new year of dance, and everything else. We’ll all make it through together!
